About Us

Jamara Foster, MSN, RN widely known as J. Wynn “The NOLA Nail Nurse”, is a proud native of New Orleans and the visionary founder and CEO of Nurse Those Nailz, LLC.  Through her company, she delivers holistic nail care services tailored to all nail types, combining her expertise as a licensed nail technician, health educator, and registered nurse to promote the overall health and wellness of nails and feet.

Jamara earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dillard University in 2012. Over the years, she has amassed extensive clinical experience in diverse nursing specialties, with a focus on Medical-Surgical and Post-Operative Care. Her journey into specialized foot care began during the COVID-19 pandemic, while serving as a home health nurse. It was during this time that she recognized a critical gap in podiatric care among her patients. This realization inspired her to further her education by pursuing a Master’s degree in NursingEducation at Herzing University, while also training to become a licensed manicurist at The Cosmetology Institute.

Upon completing both programs, Jamara united her clinical knowledge and creative passion to launch Nurse Those Nailz, LLC, where she bridges healthcare and beauty to meet the unique needs of her community.

A trailblazer in her field, Jamara is the first Registered Nurse in the Greater New Orleans and Gulf Coast region to earn certification as a foot care specialist. She also holds the distinction of being the first RN foot care specialist to serve in the role of "nail nurse" at the UniversityMedical Center of New Orleans.
